DESCRIPTION

For Sale: Own a beautiful working classic!  Offered is a restored, unmolested and fully sorted example of the 1940-1941 flathead V8 pickup.  Mild and subtle upgrades add comfort, safety and utility.

Treated to a body-off the frame restoration completed prior to a $44,000 sale at
Barrett-Jackson Auctions, Arizona, in 2010, the truck joined collections in New
England.

CURRENT LIFE

In 2020, with just 201 miles added, the truck was sold to consignor by a dealer.

Over the course of the next few years, the consignor had the truck professionally re-commissioned and sorted which enabled drives to car shows and club events.  It fetched bags of mulch, hauled brush. It won first-in-class at the juried Misselwood Concours, to which it was driven, not shipped.

Mild upgrades include seat belts, directional signals, LED lighting, electric radiator fan. The engine is a visually correct, stock, rebuilt later Ford Flathead, boasting a useful additional 20 hp.

The result is a truck which shows well, although wearing a few knicks and flaws. It
is perhaps unique in being functionally excellent and ready to serve the next
caretaker. Some records are on file from 2010 to present, with a complete file of
service history from 2014.  The owner’s manual is in the glove compartment.
